The practice and Endoscopy Center are a specialty care facility designed to provide individual, quality care for eligible patients to undergo endoscopic procedures on an outpatient basis. The facility is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and effective environment for outpatient procedures while maintaining patient dignity and human rights. The facility strives to provide services without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin.

Mission Statement

The Endoscopy Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality care, meeting the expectations of our patients and their families and serves as a resource area for physicians of the community for treatment, diagnosis, and management of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

Goals/Objectives

The mission for the facility has the following specific management goals and objectives:

  • Create a safe physical environment for staff and patients in preparation for the scheduled procedure(s), during the procedure(s), and immediately following the procedure(s).
  • Provide an atmosphere of compassion and understanding with minimal stress, anxiety, and pain.
  • Function at a high level of efficiency to accommodate the convenience of both the patient and staff and to achieve cost of care and affordability targets.
  • Promote knowledge and skills of the staff as a means of meeting technical and scientific progress in the field of gastroenterology
  • Improve the health status of the community being served

Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. We know you have many choices when choosing a Gastroenterologist in Statesville, NC so we have made requesting an appointment a simple and convenient process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call the office of the Gastroenterologist that you have selected as soon as possible.

Insurance and Billing

You will receive an easy to understand bill for the services provided at Piedmont HealthCare Endoscopy Center and your physician. In addition, you can expect a separate bill from Carolina Anesthesia Associates, and if tissue samples are obtained, there will be a bill from Piedmont Pathology.  Please feel free to call Piedmont HealthCare’s Business Services at 704.881.0214 with any questions you may have about the billing arrangements.  Most health insurance carriers support and reimburse freestanding endoscopy centers because they are generally less expensive than the hospitals.

Payment Options

Self-pay patients are welcome at our centers. As with insured patients, we will be happy to discuss payment arrangements with you.  Call a Customer Service Representative for payment plan at 704.881.0214.
